“Reclaimed Memories” at The Art Mecca of Charleston
On View: Feb 24 – May 1
Opening Reception: Fri, Feb 24, 6:30 – 8:30pm

Over time, nature has a way of reclaiming what we have taken from it. Being inspired by this, these artists have created works that honor the power of nature and the past. The show will feature works by Walter Arnold, Robin Howard, and Allyn Graham.

Walter Arnold shows us how the skeletons of forgotten places still have beauty and are full of memories. Robin Howard uses reclaimed detritus to pay homage to what she loves most about Charleston: the ocean. Allyn Graham presents us with maps of Charleston during very different times, like the Civil War.

The Art Mecca of Charleston is a unique art gallery featuring established and emerging local artists who work in a variety of mediums. The gallery showcases an ever-rotating collection of fresh, innovative art, modern handmade jewelry and design elements. Gallery owners Mackenzie King and Kelly Wenner-Grossman are committed to curating collections of distinct local work that inspires viewers in a welcoming, down-to-earth atmosphere.
