Debbie Grogen Water Works, Passages of Water at Charleston Artist Guild

On View: June 2 – June 30
Opening Reception: Friday, June 2, 5-8pm

Why Water Works? Man has always been inspired by water — hearing it, smelling it in the air, playing in it, walking next to it, painting it, surfing, swimming or fishing in it, writing about it, photographing it, and creating lasting memories along its edge. Grogen attempts to show her inspiration of water in each featured painting.

The show will encompass a collection of paintings in ink, watercolor, oil, and pastel that feature focal points of water in some form and include a pastel featuring the Swamp Garden at Magnolia Gardens, a watercolor featuring Cypress stumps and trees in water, and another pastel of a Low Country Marsh Scene.
