Night and Day: the Sun Always Rises
Despite the constant change in life, there are a few things you can count on. Inspired by this simple yet powerful realization, an organization called Artist on Fire is proud to present their third exhibit at the Piccolo Spoleto Arts Festival this year.
Night and Day: the Sun Always Rises is a multi-media art show that involves 15 local artists and several musicians. Film, photography, sculpture, painting and art installations will be part of the exhibit that is free and open to the public.
The various artists have found common ground with the unbroken repetition in our lives: cycles, patterns, and love. Co-founders Sara and Alex Radin said one of the goals of Artist on Fire is to “inspire people to dream, to see the beauty that is around them and to be a voice of hope, truth and life in this world.” Even though the works are not necessarily of a spiritual nature, the exhibition will be at a really unique venue – on the third floor of the Citadel Baptist Church, located at 328 Meeting Street, just next to Marion Square. Alex and Sara Radin said, “There is a faithful thread that lies underneath the very fabric of our existence.” Come see what they mean.
The artists will be present at the opening reception on May 25 from 5 – 9 pm and at the finale on June 9 from 6 – 8 pm. Exhibit hours are Monday – Saturday from 11 am – 6 pm and Sundays from 2 – 6 pm.
