January 23 - February 14, 2015 Woolfe Street Playhouse, 34 Woolfe Street |
Regional premiere of the “lost classic” by John Van Druten. London Wall explores the tumultuous lives and love affairs of the women employed as shorthand typists in a busy solicitor’s office in 1930’s London. Pat Milligan (McKenna DuBose), a naïve young typist, falls for the charms of a predatory junior lawyer. Watching with concern is the firm’s senior secretary, her too-timid suitor and several others in the office. Presiding over all is Mr. Walker, gamely trying to navigate a new kind of office where men and women must work side by side.” Directed by Village Rep Producing Artistic Director Keely Enright. London Wall boasts a stellar cast of Charleston’s finest performers including Theatre Charleston Award winners Becca Anderson, Samille Basler, Robbie Thomas, Jeff Jordan, Bronson Taylor, Lara Allred and Sarah Callahan. Performances weekends January 23rd through February 14th. For reservations and more information call 843 856-1579 or purchase tickets 24 hours at woolfestreetplayhouse.com. |
