Love art and the art at the Gibbes Museum? The members of Society 1858 sure do. Society 1858 is a group of young Charleston professionals who support the Gibbes through social and educational programs. Aimed at up-and-coming art patrons, Society 1858 hosts fabulous parties, creates unique and engaging educational events, and supports the Charleston arts community by joining in the First Friday Art Walks and other happenings around town.
What are the perks of joining? Society 1858 members have access to private exhibition previews and receptions, free or reduced admission to Society 1858 programs and parties, and invitations to social events throughout the year.
