The fever of Spoleto is over…but the art continues in Charleston. This weekend is packed with fun events you should not miss.
Saturday night, head over to Eye Level Art for their latest show Ethereal. Designs by Rachel Gordon, Photography by Ben Williams featuring Rachel’s clothing, Paintings by Kenton James & Patrick Nevins. “Ethereal celebrates the female form and goddess aesthetic through fashion, photography and painted works on canvas in this special, multi-platform exhibition.” Music will be spinning and refreshments available for purchase.
Eye Level Art 103 Spring Street, downtown. Sat 6/19, 7 to 11 pm. $10 general admission, $25 VIP Lounge, includes open bar.
Sunday Night, celebrate the summer solstice at The Still Sun, a soiree presented by SCOOP Studios. This will be a small works sale, perfect for young professionals and new collectors. SCOOP standards like Lisa Shimko, Christopher Murphy and Dorothy Netherland will be joined by local favorites Karin Olah, Luke Vehorn, and some CofC students will be in the mix too!
This is your perfect chance to check Tivoli Gardens and Studios, an old warehouse space converted into studios and exhibition space. Nick and Lane, the brains behind the operation, are dedicated to using green initiatives like reusing found and donated materials to upfit the space. Every dollar of the $10 suggested donation will go towards their goal of achieving cool, moving air in an environmentally-friendly fashion.
Everyone’s favorite psuedo-dive bar Recovery Room Tavern is sponsoring the beverages.
