Flowertown Players will be holding open auditions for “The Philadelphia Story” on Tuesday, July 27 and Wednesday, July 28 at 7pm. Auditions will be held at the James F. Dean Theatre is downtown Summerville, 133 S. Main Street.
Directed by John Melfi, the show centers around privileged socialite and divorcee Tracy Lords, who has decided to remarry after her disastrous first marriage to C.K. Dexter Haven. The press descends upon the extravagant wedding ceremony, bringing with it a charming young reporter and Tracy’s ex-husband Dexter. Tracy’s devotion to her new husband is put to the test. She soon finds herself caught in a confusing love triangle between the past, the present, and the future.
There are roles available for five women, ages 15 to 50, and six to eight men, ages 20 to 60. Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. The show will run from September 17 through October 3.
