We’re pretty slammed getting the next issue ready to go to print, but just wanted to share pictures from yesterday’s chART Walk in Avondale.  The chART Outdoor Initiative and Gallery is coming along nicely, and yesterday’s block party proceeds are going to help fund more artists making their mark in the alleyways of Avondale.

What was once a dirty and sad series of alleyways and parking lots has gotten a vibrant infusion of street art by muralists and painters of all types.  Want your own wall?  Just call Geoff Richardson at Lava Salon, community catalyst and chART instigator. Next up?  Richardson is trying to get a Park Circle branch of chART going in North Charleston.
