The Charleston Pour House is proud to present the Charleston Pour House 10th Anniversary Week Celebration & 2ndAnnual Mural Competition. The mural project is a competition for local artists to paint representational art on the outside and inside restaurant walls and the deck fence of the popular music venue. The week-long event will be August 27th thru September 3rd and will include live music on two stages and voting from the event attendees.

The Pour House invites proposals for a mural design to compete for three prizes, including a grand prize of $500 in cash. The mural must be painted in the time frame of 8/27/12 thru 9/2/2012. We encourage live painting during the anniversary festival weekend, but, ultimately, the painting must be finished by September 2nd. Attendees of the event will vote for their favorite artwork on Sept. 3rd (during Acousticmuffin, the final day of the celebration), and there will be prizes awarded to the top 3 creations.

The theme of the designs should align with The Pour House’s motto: “love. live. music.”
Entry Requirements:
All artists 18 years of age or older are eligible.
Artists must submit samples or images of the proposed mural artwork, along with an application.
Entries must be of the artist’s original design and making.

Paint and some brushes will be available to use by artists.
