News > Introducing Rose Ball Artist #4: Shellie Lewis-Dambax

The countdown is underway for the Rose Ball New Years Eve 2013 party at the Johnson Hagood Stadium of the Citadel. Have you bought your tickets yet? Art Mag is an official sponsor of what is sure to be the grandest party of the holidays–we hope to see you all there. (Buy your tickets here!)

We’ve teamed up with the Rose Ball crew to select a handful of local artists to exhibit their work in the VIP area of the event (which also includes a premium bar, DJs, and much, much more) and are proud to introduce Rose Ball Artist #3: Shellie Lewis-Dambax.

Lewis-Dambax is a graduate from the College of Charleston, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a Concentration in Painting. She studied under the late Michael Tyzack, Manning Williams, Michel Phillips, Cliff Peacock and Herb Parker. After college she opened and operated three separate restaurants with her husband while raising their two boys and continuing to paint. In 2010 she limited her role in their business to commit herself to her art. Shellie works in oil and mix media and has sold and exhibited her work through-out the South East. Currently her work is exhibited in the Red Wolf Gallery in Brevard, NC., Allison Sprock Fine Art Gallery in Charlotte NC, Watson Gallery in Atlanta GA, Bella Vista Fine Art Gallery in Asheville NC and in their own restaurant, Marco Trattoria in Brevard NC.

Below is a preview of some of Lewis-Dambax’s work that will be for sale at the Rose Ball. See something you like? Email Olivia at Olivia@theartmag.com and secure it before it hits the floor on New Years Eve.
