News > LLF offers Creative Entrepreneurship Class with City of North Charleston and Clemson University

This winter Lowcountry Local First is partnership with the City of North Charleston Cultural Arts Department and Clemson University to bring together a 10 week course that focuses on the business side of the creative industry. Creative production and service requires a great deal of flexibility in pricing, marketing, and product development. While appropriate for traditional business development, this class is designed to provide those in nontraditional businesses with the ability to develop sustainable enterprises, improving our economic community here in the Lowcountry. The class provides students with the necessary understanding to develop a successful business plan, while providing examples of creative businesses in our region. Throughout the program, students will be introduced to broad variety of successful creative entrepreneurs in various fields.
