News > Gibbes Street Party to Shake Up Meeting Street Thursday

Join one of Charleston’s most prominent arts institutions, the Gibbes Museum of Art, this Thursday night for the 4th annual romping Gibbes on the Street Party. The museum invites guests to an evening of funky fun, celebrating the visual, culinary, and performing arts.  Think, huge neighborhood block party in the most creative and talented neighborhood there is.  The festivities will be held in honor of the People’s Choice Exhibit, to debut at the museum this weekend.  Local art lovers have cast their votes for this community-curated exhibit and the top choices will be unveiled at the party.  Come out and see the 40 artworks that your friends and neighbors loved the best!

The price of a ticket includes live entertainment, delicious goodies, and an open bar serving classy cocktails.  Some of our beloved local eateries will be slinging sophisticated bites.  Enjoy treats from your favorite spots like FIG, Wild Olive, The Macintosh, and Sugar Bakeshop.  This party is the ultimate celebration of arts appreciation.  Two-dimensional visual art will be brought to life through street performances.  Meeting Street will be taken over by artistic overload, make sure not to miss it!

So whether you’re an art connoisseur, a foodie about town, or if you just enjoy a great time surrounded by cool people, get your tickets for the Gibbes in the Street Party and be a part of this unique event!  How could anyone ever be bored living in this town?
