The Charleston Pour House has recently issued a Call for Artists for their 5th Annual Mural Competition. The themes of this year’s competition are “Building Community Through Art” and “Musical Genres.”

As the selected artists continue to work on their murals through November 1st to the 8th, the Pour House will be featuring an array of live music and special events for the public to come and see the works as they are created.

The calendar for the event is as follows:

Monday, October 19, 2015 – Deadline for entries (at 5pm EST)
Thursday, October 22, 2015 – Notification to artists (via email)
Sunday, October 25, 2015 – Artist Meeting with Pour House staff
Monday, November 1, 2015 – Artist can start painting the mural (after 11am daily)
November 7 – November 8, 2015 –Mural Competition Celebration with Live Music
November 9 – November 15, 2015 – Voting takes place (online and at the venue)
November 17, 2015 – Winners will be announced.
