“This is an exciting first step outside of the Washington, DC market, as Principle Gallery continues to explore and grow synergistic opportunities and relationships between artists and art patrons worldwide,” said Michele Ward, owner of Principle Gallery. “The decision to acquire such a well-established and respected gallery was based on striking similarities between M Gallery and Principle Gallery – each enjoys a very strong connection with its community, and a commitment to the best in American and European Contemporary Realism.”

The acquisition was finalized in June 2013.

Under Ward’s direction, M Gallery will incorporate some of Principle Gallery’s robust events and art collections from across the globe.

Combined, both galleries will add artists whose work is in demand, and will increase exposure for art and events in both locations.

“Long-time collectors familiar with the established roster of artists at Principle Gallery will be very pleasantly surprised by the caliber of art introduced through the acquisition of M Gallery, as well as unveiling exciting new additions resulting from the acquisition,” said Ward.
