Last night’s performance of Romeo and Juliet by the Russian National Ballet Theatre at Charleston’s Gaillard Auditorium was not only entertaining, but surpassed all expectations. Their presentation of Marius Petipa’s Chopiniana and Romeo & Juliet was flawlessly executed in a captivating array of colors, perfected technique, and an overall awe-inspiring ambiance. With over fifty dancers of various and cultivated experience in their troupe, the National Russian Ballet left none to be desired.
