This March, thousands of well-heeled guests will head to Marion Square for Charleston Fashion Week, hosted by Charleston Magazine. Since its founding in 2007, CFW has become one of the best fashion events in the South, and the gateway to New York for many emerging fashion designers and models. The dedicated team behind CFW is gearing up for a better-than-ever 2012.

Over 40 runway shows by designers and boutiques take place over the five nights of CFW. Musical performances and sexy film shorts spice up the night with talented musicians, models and music. Red carpet photo ops and runway shows. This is THE event that every fashion enthusiast waits for each year. Will you make the Street Style blog? Make sure you hit up the swanky-chic after parties each night!

The Emerging Designer Competition: East has become a definitive crowd favorite. 2011’s competition had 130 applicants…but only one can win. Knitting queen Charlotte Hess was the unanimous winner and people’s choice winner! Read all about her in the Fall 2011 issue of Art Mag.

Industry giants like Fern Mallis, creator of New York Fashion Week, fashion writer Derek Blasberg and Mad Men costume designer Janie Bryant were just a few of the movers and shakers on the ‘star row’ in 2011.

Rock the Runway Model Competition sends twenty of CFW’s best models down the runway, competing to be named number one. Previous winners have gone on to secure contracts with top tier modeling agencies and even appearances on America’s Next Top Model!

Saturday morning brings one of the favorite special events, the Charleston Weddings magazine’s Spring Bridal Show. It’s a top-notch event full of gorgeous décor, bubbly beverages and the A-list of Charleston’s bridal vendors and caterers.

Bring out the sequins, furs, and delve into the haute-ness of Charleston Fashion Week!
